Hey guys! This is a cool way to make a flower crown without spending big money to buy one at a store. It is also super cute, too 🙂 The materials are inexpensive and easily accessible.
Materials needed:
-Gardener’s Twine/rope
-Some flowers of your choosing
-Glue (I’d recommend a hot glue gun for stronger stickage)
-Masking tape or gardener’s tape
-Wire cutters or strong scissors
Step 1: Â Firstly, you are going to take the gardener’s twine and loosely wrap it around your head to measure the size you want it to come out to. Once you get the size you like, add another wrapping of twine so the crown’s base will be more stable. Then to keep the shape, twist the twine around itself to interlock it so it doesn’t come undone. If you like, you can use the gardener’s tape or masking tape and wrap it around the closure.
Step 2: Â Next, take your flowers (fake) and gently pluck them off the stem. If they don’t pluck off easily, you can cut them off. Then place them around the crown to get an idea of what you want your crown to look like. This helps you see how it will turn out and you can get really creative.
Step 3:Â Once you have the flower arrangement you like, go ahead and take your hot glue gun (or whatever glue you have) and start gluing the flowers on, one by one, pressing down on the flower to ensure the best stick. (Careful not to burn yourself with the hot glue gun!) Â *I used 3 different types of flowers so I glued the first type on first, then the second type, then the third, lastly I glued leaves on to give the crown a more natural look.
Step 4:  You’re all done! There is no right way to making this crown. You can be as creative as you like 🙂 Have fun and happy DIY’ing 😀
